Bagel Sandwiches and Authentic Thai Tea; these are what The Art Bistro is know for.
You can not miss this corner cafe with its pink exterior. It actually looks like a sweets or cake shop on the outside, but once you enter, you are brought into this rustic, artsy, European/Middle Eastern country atmosphere. It is wonderfully chaotic. There are a few seatings, decorated with cozy pillows, making them the perfect cozy spot to nestle down after walking the many, many hills of San Francisco.
Behind the counter is a sweet little lady that welcomes you in and waits patiently to take your order. It is "Cash Only" for a variety of coffees, teas, sandwiches, and salads. I recommend the Thai Tea and the Lox Bagel Sandwich. Items I have ordered and thoroughly enjoyed at an incredible price.
The Thai Tea was something else. It was creamy, perfectly sweetened without compromising the tea flavor. I can see why my Cousin loves it, and she knows her Thai Teas.
After reading quite a few Yelp reviews, it seems their Lattes and Focaccia Bread is also a crowd favorite.
